Blades in the Dark is a tabletop role-playing game by John Harper that casts players as daring scoundrels navigating the grimy, industrial-fantasy city of Doskvol. The game focuses on running a criminal crew, engaging in heists, turf wars, and supernatural encounters while evading the ever-watchful authorities.
The game features a flashback-driven narrative, allowing players to plan heists on the fly rather than meticulously outlining every detail beforehand. Characters are defined by playbooks archetypal roles like the Cutter (a bruiser), the Whisper (a ghostly adept), or the Slide (a manipulator). Instead of rolling for success or failure in binary terms, the games fortune-based dice system emphasizes consequences, ensuring that even successes often come with complications.
A unique element is the stress mechanic, which lets characters push themselves beyond normal limits but at the cost of mental strain. Too much stress leads to trauma, forcing characters to change over time. Crews also develop, gaining territory, allies, and enemies as they rise in the underworld.

Physical products may be returned within 30 days of purchase if they are unopened, unused, and in their original packaging, accompanied by a valid receipt. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method. However, all trading card game (TCG) sales are final, including sealed products and singles. We do not accept returns or exchanges on trading cards.
Used games and consignment items are also final sale, and paints, hobby supplies, and opened games cannot be returned unless defective. If you believe you’ve received a defective or incorrect item, please contact us within 7 days of purchase and we’ll do our best to make it right.
