⚓ Game of the Week: Let’s Feed the Kraken 🐙
First off—sorry we missed last week’s Game of the Week! Things got busy at sea (and in-store), but we’re back with a big one to make up for it.
This week we’re diving into Let’s Feed the Kraken, a hidden-role social deduction game with a nautical twist that’s become a fast favorite at the table.
What’s it about?
You and your crew are aboard a ship, but not everyone wants to reach the same destination. There are three secret factions:
-
Sailors want to navigate the ship safely to the mainland.
-
Pirates aim to hijack the voyage and land in pirate-infested waters.
-
Cultists? They want to summon the Kraken and feed the whole crew to it.
Each round, the ship moves under the direction of a secretly-selected Navigator and Lieutenant—but can you trust them? The group votes on who gets to steer, but once they’re in power, they secretly choose where the ship goes… and things get suspicious fast.
Add in guns, potions, cabin searches, and the occasional Kraken sighting, and you’ve got a game that’s full of tense decisions, hilarious betrayals, and those “did they really just do that?” moments.
Why we love it:
-
Plays great with larger groups (up to 11!)
-
Easy to learn, but full of twists
-
Gorgeous components and clever map design
-
Perfect for fans of The Resistance, Secret Hitler, or Blood on the Clocktower
Whether you're a loyal sailor or a cultist in disguise, Let’s Feed the Kraken will test your poker face and your friendships—in the best way.
Ready to set sail? Come try it at Swords and Spoons or grab a copy before the Kraken gets it first.
