It’s been a little while since our last blog post, but what better time to jump back in than fall at Swords and Spoons? Between cozy nights of tabletop adventures and big community celebrations, there’s a lot to share.
Fall Fun at the Store & Beyond
This autumn is packed with events both inside the shop and out in the community:
-
Risucon – October 4th
-
Lexicon (our local con!) – October 11th
-
Pride (St. Mary’s) – October 12th
-
Anne Marie Gardens Trick-or-Treat – October 18th
-
Pax Air Museum – Ridge Lions Club Transformers Event – October 19th
And of course, right here at Swords and Spoons we’re hosting:
-
Fall Harvest Festival & Halloween Weekend Tournaments (Oct. 25–26) – Youth D&D in costume, a kids’ costume contest, pumpkin painting, some chilling late-night RPGs, plus spooky Lorcana and Pokémon events—perfect for fans who want candy and cards.
Looking Ahead
Mark your calendars: Nov. 8–9 is our Extra Life Charity Stream & One-Year Anniversary Celebration! We’ll be gaming, streaming, and raising money for Children’s National. Last year we raised over $1,400 — this year our goal is $2,000!
Why We’re Excited
This blog is one more way for us to share the joy, creativity, and connection we see every day in the store. Thanks for being part of our growing community — whether you stop by for tournaments, crafts, painting, or just to grab a snack and chat.
Stay tuned here for event recaps, behind-the-scenes looks, and maybe a few spooky stories too.
👻 See you at the tables,
